I'm not sure if my clients really understand that I have a business philosophy per se, but I think that they "get it" indirectly.

I believe that clients deserve my best work. I bring it—and my brain—to the table for every project or session.

I'm basically a problem-solver. Even back in the day when I wrote computer documentation, I was trying to solve the client's problem before it even happened.

As a trainer, I try to educate students so that they work smarter, not longer, and also so their work doesn't create problems on down the line (especially in work that's destined for the press).

I design and produce visual work to educate, to inspire, to further the knowledge of my clients and their clients. But, I'm more about making it work than having it be cool. My joke is, "Cool is lost on me." And I think that if something is cool AND it serves the end purpose, that it works, then it's great.

Cool stuff just for the sake of cool, without being useful? Meh, not so much.
I think that for this reason, I'm more of a logic-minded, practical visual communicator. Is it possible to be that?

If so, that's me.
